¿Cómo se fabrica la ropa que compramos?, ¿de qué se compone el material técnico que utilizamos para surfear?, ¿la energía hidroeléctrica es energía verde?, ¿qué puede hacer cada surfista por su playa? Siempre hemos arrancado el festival con la jornada dedicada al medio ambiente. Una mirada desde el punto de vista del surf, pero ofreciendo una visión que no solo abarca el medio costero. En colaboración con Fomento de San Sebastián y Patagonia proponemos dos sesiones, en Aquarium el miércoles 22: SurfilmPRO (18.30h) para debatir con marcas clave del sector (Patagonia, Ternua y Finisterre) que nos hablan de I+D, upcycling, economía circular y maneras de producción respetuosas. Olas Limpias (20.00h) donde daremos voz a historias de activismo y empoderamiento inspiradoras: SeaBin Project, Surfers Against Sewage, Save the Tua Platform; además de presentar en estreno mundial el documental White Waves de Inka Reichert. How is our apparel manufactured?, which materials are used to produce surf equipment?, is the hydroelectric energy a sustainable one?, what can we do as surfers to protect our beaches? We always start the festival with the green day, a deep look from the surfers eye into enviromental issues that not only affect the coastline. In collaboration with Fomento San Sebastián and Patagonia we´ve programmed 2 sessions, both in the Aquarium on June 22nd: SurfilmPRO (18.30h) to discuss with key companies of the sport industry as Patagonia, Ternua and Finisterre, about R+D, upcycling, circular economy and sustainable production procesess. Clean Waves (20.00h) where we´ll present inspiring stories related to activism and empowerment: SeaBin Project, Surfers Against Sewage, Save the Tua Platform; and we´ll host the world premiere of the White Waves documentary directed by Inka Reichert.
