2ª EDICIÓN DE LA PRIMERA CARRERA MUNDIAL DE STAND UP PADDLE (SUP) PARA LIMPIAR UN RÍO

¡Ya está en marcha GARBIBAI 2013! La primera competición en el mundo de limpieza de un río practicando Stand Up Paddle (SUP).
• ¿Qué es? Eco-carrera de Stand Up Paddle (SUP) por equipos con el objetivo de recoger el mayor número de residuos en el menor tiempo posible. Una actividad lúdica, deportiva, cultural y sostenible, que pretende concienciar a la sociedad sobre el respeto medioambiental a través del deporte. Además de fomentar el ejercicio, pone sobre la mesa una problemática manifiesta; la de la basura en nuestros ríos.
• ¿Dónde? En el río Urumea, a su paso por Donostia-San Sebastián.
• ¿Cuándo? El 25 de mayo de 2013 de 12:00 a 13:00 (registro)
• ¿Por qué? Esta idea nació en 2012 como forma de llamar la atención de la ciudadanía sobre el problema de la aglomeración de residuos sólidos en ríos y mares, y fue presentada en el marco del festival «OLATUTALKA/ROMPEOLAS» con motivo de la capitalidad europea «DSS2016», siendo una de las iniciativas más destacadas y con mayor éxito de participación del Festival.

Una prueba que va más allá de lo puramente deportivo… Aúna naturaleza, deporte, ocio, ecología, compañerismo… Y en esta segunda edición además… ARTE. Porque a partir del domingo 26 de mayo, comienza la segunda parte de GARBIBAI; distintas actividades artísticas a realizar con los materiales recogidos en la carrera. En definitiva, ¡CULTURA!

Prest dago GARBIBAI 2013! Ibaia garbitzeko munduko lehen lasterketa Stand Up Paddle (SUP) praktikatuz.
• Zer da? Stand Up Paddle (SUP) eko-lasterketa ekipoetan, ahalik eta zabor gehien, denbora tarte gutxienean jasotzeko xedearekin. Kirol jarduera ludiko, kultural eta jasangarri honek, gizartea ingurugiroaren errespetuaz kontzientziatzea nahi du kirolaren bitartez. Ariketa fisikoa indartzeaz gain, arazo garrantzitsu bat azaleratzen du; zaborra gure ibaietan, alegia.
• Non?Urumea ibaian, Donostiako ibilbidean.
• Noiz? 2013ko maiatzaren 25ean, 12.00etatik 13.00etara (erregistroa)
• Zergatik? Proposamen hau 2012an sortu zen itsaso eta ibaien zabor solidoen aglomerazioa hiritarren artean atentzioa jasotzeko modu mezala. “DSS2016” europar hiriburutzaren barne, Olatu Talka jaialdiaren ekintzetako bat da, arrakasta handia izandakoa.

Kiroletik artarago doan froga bat da…. Natura, kirola, ekologia, aisia, adiskidetasuna, etab. batzen ditu. Eta bigarren edizio honetan gainera… ARTEA. Izan ere, maiatzaren 26a, igandea, ondoren GARBIBAIren bigarren partea hasiko da: ekintza artistiko ezberdinak burutuko dira lasterketan jasotako materialekin. KULTURA, alegia.

GARBIBAI 2013 IS in on! The first race to clean up a river on Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boards.
• What? Eco-race on SUP teams with the goal to pick up the biggest number of solid trash in the less time posible. A recreational, sportive, artistical, cultural and sustainable activity, which tries aims to raise public awareness about the enviromental respect through sports. Besides encouraging exercise, brings to the table an issue manifest: the waste in our rivers.
• Where? In the Urumea River, on its way thru Donostia-San Sebastian
• When? May 25th, 2013 de 12:00 a 13:00 (registro)
• Why? This idea was born in 2012 and presented in the «OLATUTALKA/ROMPEOLAS» festival in relation with the European Capital of Culture for 2016: «DSS2016», and it was one of the most outstanding and sucessfull activities of this Festival.
The registration period is open!
This events goes beyond the purely sporting thing…melting nature, sports, outdoors, ecology , partnership and especially in this second edition: … ART. Because after the race, on the next day: Sunday 26 may, starts the second part of GARBIBAI; diferent artistic activities to be done with the material picked up during the race. Ultimately, CULTURE!
