Varios de los más experimentados surfistas de olas grandes han empezado sus andanzas en este mundo en la famosa ola de Roca Puta. Pero esta ola es tan solo el último eslabón de una serie de rompientes que se forman en la bahía de Orrua. Un lugar que no solo ha visto surfear a los más grandes, sino que también ha visto surfear a una de las primeras generaciones de surfistas de todos los tiempos de nuestro país. Esta pequeña bahía que pertenece al municipio de Getaria, pero que se encuentra a la par de Zumaia, ha sido el campo de pruebas de los más míticos surferos de Zarautz, Orio, Gros y Zumaia. Lo que sería la vieja escuela del surf en Guipúzcoa, y seguramente una de las primeras a nivel europeo. Siguiendo poco a poco las pistas que me ha ido dando toda la gente a la que he ido preguntando sobre la bahía, he recogido los testimonios de ciertas personas que han sido, son y seguirán siendo por siempre la historia viva de esta bahía.
