La escalofriante historia de un pueblo de Papua Nueva Guinéa, y de como ha afectado la entrada del surf a la identidad de su pueblo. Y a las 21.00, Japón@Surfilm, sesión de inauguración oficial de Amstel Surfilmfestibal9. Se proyecta el corto Signatures de Nick Waggoner 2009, podremos descubrir las alucinantes tablas Gemstick... unas tablas de snowboard maravillosas, y una forma de surfear la nieve como si fuera agua!!! Y tenemos el gran honor, de proyectar Journey´s, dir. Daniel Leeb (2008), y además teniendo como invitados de excepción a su director Daniel Leeb, Hisham Baroosha, el surfero y actor súper reconocido Claude Maki, su hermano Hayato Maki y Yosuke Nishida. Claude Maki esta haciendo un gran trabajo de activismo en Japón, quiere contribuir a conocer mejor el problema, y nos trae fotos del viaje que hizo hasta la tristemente famosa central de Fukushima. Nick Waggoner, 2009), the incredible story of the Gemstick boards... marvelous snowboards in the incredible snow of Japan. And after, we got the honor of presentingJourney´s (dir. Daniel Leeb, 2008), a road movie filmed in Japan, and with have the exceptional presence of nearly the whole cast, leaded by the legendary Claude Maki, his brother Hayato, the multi talended artist Hisham Baroocha, Yusuke Nishida. Claude is bringing photos from his trip to the wrecked areas, including the sadly famous nuclear plant. Breathtaking.
